Conferences
The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) engages with stakeholders across the international academic community by attending numerous conferences and outreach events. SEVP staff present on a range of subjects, from program updates to specific topics, and through a variety of methods, including in person, webinar, teleconference or a combination of these approaches.
Event Participation Requests
Federal government agencies involved in the international education realm welcome the opportunity to participate in your event. These events provide an opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders, highlight program updates and address your questions. If you are interested in SEVP or another federal government agency participating in your upcoming event, please click on one of the buttons below.

Submit Pre-Event Questions
If SEVP is participating in your event and you would like attendees to submit questions ahead of time, please download and distribute the Pre-submitted Question Form to attendees. Stakeholders should submit only one question per form, and provide as much detail as possible to ensure the question is directed to the correct point of contact. Submit completed Word document copies of the form to SEVPOutreach@ice.dhs.gov at least four weeks prior to your event.
Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey
The program welcomes your feedback on any SEVP-hosted events, webinars or events through the Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey. Your feedback helps to inform future presentations and to direct SEVP’s outreach efforts. If you attended an event hosted by your SEVP field representative, please contact him or her directly for a survey about their presentation.
SEVP Webinar Series
The SEVP Webinar Series provides an additional avenue for stakeholders to engage directly with the program. If you are unable to attend an event, these webinars communicate important program news and updates, as well as information on hot topics or trends affecting the international education community. Webinars are intended primarily for designated school officials, and are typically one of the following types of presentations:
- SEVP InFocus — provides regular program updates to the academic community.
- Ask the Experts — focuses on specific topics of interest to stakeholders, such as Form I-17, “Petition for Approval of School for Attendance by Nonimmigrant Student,” updates, student employment or SEVP school recertification. Following a brief presentation, SEVP subject matter experts take live questions from viewers.

Government Voices Webinar Series
The Government Voices Webinar Series provides a forum for government partners to discuss areas of shared responsibility. Government Voices Webinars bring together different agencies from across the U.S. government to address specific topics about their role in the international student life cycle, and how federal agencies work together to resolve issues, streamline processes and better serve stakeholders.

SEVP Outreach Bulletin
The SEVP Outreach Bulletin is a publication that informs our conference stakeholders of the latest SEVP news and events. Please email SEVPOutreach@ice.dhs.gov with any questions. SEVP Spotlight
The SEVP Spotlight is a newsletter that SEVP distributes to more than 20,000 designated school officials, top academic associations and SEVP government partners. Each newsletter provides updates on the latest news affecting our stakeholders and program. Trends and Improvements
The Trends and Improvements section is the central repository for tracking and monitoring the government's progress and response on feedback received from the academic community. Study in the States will regularly update this section to increase government transparency and, when possible, provide timelines that reflect the latest progress made on addressing stakeholder feedback.
