New SEVIS 6.17 Webinar

Join the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) and the U.S. Department of State for a webinar discussing the latest Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) enhancements in Release 6.17 deployed earlier this month. The webinar will take place on Friday, August 22, from 3:15–4:30 p.m. EDT and will discuss SEVIS issues, concerns and questions regarding the release.

Webinar topics include:

  • Exchange visitor search results, validation and addresses
  • Name Standardization Impact Report
  • Optional Practical Training (OPT) Dates and Status Indicator

Please note that SEVP has changed the way individuals can participate in the webinar. All participants must now create a webinar account beforehand. You will need a username and password to log in to the webinar this Friday as well as for future webinars. If you have yet to create an account, visit the Stakeholder Webinars page and select “Register Now.” You will be taken to a new page where you need to input information for your account. Use the Webinar Registration Job Aid on the webinars page to learn more.

The webinar room will open on Friday at 3 p.m. EDT, 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Visit the webinars page to access this session. This webinar is limited to 2,700 people, so please try to watch with others in your organization.
