September is National Preparedness Month—Are You Ready?

Natural disasters and severe weather events can happen across the United States. If one of these events occurs, it is important to be prepared to respond and react to protect your own personal safety. The U.S. government celebrates National Preparedness Month each September to remind people what preparedness is and what you should do to be ready and safe. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), an expert in preparedness, provides useful resources through Ready.gov.
